Girls asleep, time to post!!!

What better time to take picture of toys then when they are waiting to be played with again? I've been wanting to post about these for quite a while now so here we go!
Y a-t-il un meilleur moment pour prendre des photos de jouets que lorsqu'ils attendent que deux petites filles se réveillent pour jouer avec eux?  Je voulais faire un post à propos de ses ballons depuis un certain temps alors voici;

These fabric balls were super quick to make and everybody loves them! I made a whole bunch with Easter fabrics for my nieces and nephews' baskets and they were a hit!

Those needle felted balls are a life-saver when you didn't plan to be out so long or for the crying baby in your life! I always have a couple in my gigantic mom-purse (or travel bag according to my husband...!). They have been played with so much that I had to take the needle to them a couple of times already.

This is a little birdy rattle.... See, I have a cat and a baby; one has toys she doesn't play with (aka fat cat) and the other loves to shake things hoping for a sound ( aka baby). So I am guilty of stealing my cat's jingle balls and putting them inside my kid's toys! The girls had a couple of them in different colors but they tend to find their way to other people's houses so mama needs to crochet some more birdies!

Hope you have a fun-filled day!
I.

Long overdue

I have finally decided to take time to photograph some of the things I made in the past couple of months. Since I have a wee one, the need for hats (beanies or tuques, however you want to call them!) was obvious.

This was supposed to be my baby's first tuque... When she was born, I realised that her head was much bigger so her stuffed Winnie the Pooh became a Viking! :)
Winnie the Pooh est devenu Viking depuis. :)

These two were for a home ''photoshoot to give pictures to grandma''. She was disguised as a bee; hat and butt cover.
 Little pumpkin for fall....
Une petite citrouille pour l'automne...

 then Christmas came along...
Noël arrivait à grands pas...

and Valentine's day...
la Saint-Valentin...

and finally Easter!
Finalement ce fut Pâques!

Enjoy your day!!!! :)
Bonne journée! :)

My my my

Soooo many things have happened since my last post... Multiple projects done, lots of them already given away without taking a picture first... of course (I have to mend my ways.... sigh...)! I promise though to take pictures of projects which stayed with us; knitting, sewing (my first little skirt!! :) I was so proud of myself!), crochet, cooking, baking....

The pregnancy is going well but I have to say that it's been harder this time around... quite a bit of body aches.... meh... no diabetes though which is great news :). I've also been quite tired and tend to loose patience quicker... re-meh... Luckily my wonderful husband is still putting up with me :) !

My belly is now so big that my feet are a distant memory, my t-shirts do their best to cover it all but unfortunately it's a lost battle for a couple of them... and I still have two months to go... huh...

Meanwhile, little lady is growing up ooh so fast, talking more and more and in both french and english. It's funny though how she says certain things in french and some others in english; for example, she points at her elbow and proudly says elbow and then points at her nose and says ''nez''. I guess she's going for the easiest one of the two to say. Funny thing, she says ''papa'' and turns to daddy if he doesn't answer quickly enough... isn't it adorable?! She also turned out to be quite the little adventurer who wants to climb everything (including my belly, yes it's that big!)) everywhere all the time. She is a blast and I adore her! I can't wait to see her with the little one soon coming! :)

En joy your day!

I'm baaaaaaaaaaad! I know... I have been keeping up with my new year resolution though... well sort of... You see, a couple of days after my last post, I have had some pretty exciting news! A big project on the way!! I'm expecting again!!!!!!Wouhou!!! Thirteen weeks done and everything is good. Bob (we don't want to know the sex before the birth but still need a name until then!) is doing fine and keeps moving :). I'm barely out of my first trimester and I am the size of a beluga... When they say the belly comes out faster the second time around I can tell you it's true! Let's just say that my next posts should be baby related! Baby bonanza craft projects ahead!

New year resolution!

Good day to all!
I (like many others) have made a new year resolution... and I very well intend to keep it! This year, I must (I can't stress this enough) create a project every week no matter what. It can be big or small, time consuming or not, basically, it can be anything, it just needs to be! So far, so good! I already have 2 done projects and one more on the way! I am pretty proud of myself! :)

Pictures to come!

Wednesday, July 14, 2010

What a rebel I've been!! I have to say for my defense though that I didn't have my camera which for me is the equivalent of a slow death... Not being able to take pictures of my little lady for a whole month? Come on!! I have been a busy bee though! Lots of baking which was brutally stopped in July by an atrocious heat wave (by Quebec standards anyway!) . I even had to leave my much loved apartment for five days to go to my air conditioned parents' house! So, these little hands have been crocheting a baby ripple blanket as shown by Lucy from the attic. The instructions are really easy to follow even for a newbie like me :) .

Going well but unfortunately will have to be put aside... Baby madness is coming soon... What is baby madness you say? It's my sister as well as my two sisters-in-law expecting (one is having twins!). So, let the knitting frenzy begin!!!!! Four baby hats, cocoons, four pairs of booties and bibs... Add to that little stuffies for all of them! Phew! busy times ahead!

I did have a bit of time in the past two weeks to sew four of these cute elephants from the book More softies only a mother could love.

Got to go back to knitting!
Have a lovely day! :)

NOTE; Young lady's elephant was lost yesterday at the grocery store... unable to find... hope it made its finder happy! :)
